Great work by Eugene Rapay of the Rockland/Westchester Journal News in illustrating Stephen Silas’ journey to becoming an NBA Head Coach. Watching his father, Paul Silas, both play and coach in the League, Stephen Silas felt this career path was inevitable for him, stating, “Once I saw the writing on the wall as far as my basketball playing ability, moving on and looking at my dad and what he did as far as being a player, then a coach, being able to lead people and the respect people have for him, it’s amazing. That’s the person I want to be. I want to be the person who can lead a group to maximize their talent.” As training camp nears, Stephen Silas is excited for the opportunity ahead.
