Lionel Hollins was introduced as the Brooklyn Net’s new head coach at a Monday morning press conference, following last week’s stunning departure of Jason Kidd.
“I’m all about who wants me,” Hollins said. “I’m here and I’m excited, and I’m moving forward.”
Hollins is known as a strong defensive coach, with the Grizzlies holding opponents to an NBA-low 89.3 points per game in his final season. He is the franchise’s career leader in wins and led them to three straight playoff appearances.
